hope

it's not easy, to always have hope. it's not easy. somedays looks more bleak than others. your kids come and go, the process is so long, the government doesn't work the way you want it to, etc.

but "i know Whom i have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which i've committed unto Him against that day." (2 tim 1:12)

what grace, what peace comes from the knowledge of the Holy!? even when the days are bleak and you feel you have no strength, He lifts you up on His mighty wings to carry you through! i will praise Him Who sustains me everyday!!

I feel ya sister! In this fallen, fallen world of sin and sickness sometimes hope feels so hard to find. Praise Him who has overcome the world and gives to each of us a peace that surpasses all understanding!

"Mwen pale konsa pou nou kapab gen kè poze nan mwen. Nou gen pou n' soufri anpil sou latè. Men, pran kouraj, lemonn deja pèdi devan mwen."
John 16:33

Thanks,You You. I needed to hear that today too. As you said sometime the process is so long that you think you will never see the end. It helps to remember that God holds our adoptions and everything else in the palm of His hand.

I was so happy to see a comment from you on our blog. I knew that you were running an orphange and I have been praying for you and wondering how it is going. Now I can keep in touch. We are sponsoring a child who lives in Haiti. Elliott is now five so he has a lot of questions about what it is like there. His pre-school teacher used to live there so they talk about it a bit, but now I will have pictures to show him and more to talk about. Keep in touch. I will check back often.

Love,
Lindsey

How true! Maintaining hope in God and His Providence is not easy. Hope is simply not some misty, Pollyanna feeling. It is a virtue to be practiced in the sight of adversity.
I keep you and your kids in my prayers. God love you!

Psalm 46~
1 God is our refuge and strength,
A very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change
And though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;
